National Charity League, Inc. (NCL, Inc.) is committed to the development of mothers and daughters as leaders and is dedicated to improving local communities through hands-on volunteerism. The NCL Experience inspires and empowers women to succeed as confident, well-rounded and socially aware contributors to society.
How the Program Works
Mothers (Patronesses) and daughters (Ticktockers) participate in a Six Year Core Program of community service, leadership development, and cultural activities. Members who continue their affiliation with the organization are Sustainers.
Understand our community’s philanthropic needs and take action to help solve them. Some of the areas supported by local Chapters include:
Disadvantaged children’s agencies
Soup kitchens/food pantries
Performing arts institutions and programs
Convalescent hospitals and Senior citizens centers/Day care centers
Women’s health initiatives
Military veterans organizations
Nurture confidence through opportunities to learn and grow, building problem-solving skills through a supportive environment of healthy relationships. Some essential skills developed include:
Cultivate values and traditions that shape the NCL role and contribution in our communities.
Traditions – We celebrate the richness of our history through traditions, such as our Chapter Tea, that honor the past while serving the future.
Values – We embrace values that make us strong as an organization and a community of mother-daughter leaders.
Community Connections – As mothers and daughters, we build connections through experiences that shape and support our lives.
